OVERVIEW

This day trip combines a bike tour through coconut-lined villages and boat cruises through waterways. 

A a unique opportunity to introduce you to growing organic products with one of the local farmers. 

A great way to experience rural Vietnam, and with your new cooking skills, you can partially win the secret of Vietnamese gastronomy upon returning from your country.

ITINERARY

09:00: Be welcomed at your hotel in Hoi An by our guide. Then, a short bike ride through lush farmland, rice paddies and small villages to Cam Thanh Village.

Meet the villagers on the way and an opportunity to see fishermen using traditional fishing techniques.

10:00 Boarding the bamboo basket boat and going up along the river. A local family and your guide will take you on a journey following the unspoiled waterways lined with coconut trees. You will see the scene where the local fishermen drag the riverbed in search of snails.

11:00 Continue your journey to visit Tra Que Village.

Upon arrival, be welcome by a local family. Take a walk in the herb garden abundant in red-eyed peppers, lemongrass, basil, coriander and spring onions. Where you will be informed about the use of medicinal plants and the Vietnamese pharmacopoeia.

11:30 Join in agricultural activities such as cultivation of plants, collection of vegetables, fertilization of land with river algae and watering under the direction of a local market gardening family.

12:00 Treat yourself with a foot massage with medical plants, which grows in the garden.

12.45 A cooking class organized by a local family. Each cooking lesson begins with a brief introduction, explanations and demonstration of appetizers, main course, side dishes and dessert. Then it will be your turn to prepare your own lunch with 3-course specialties. Sit down and savor your prepared meals at the host.

15:30 A short bike ride back to Hoi An via the rice fields. You can see the farmers bring their buffalo home all along the country road.

16:00 Return to your hotel and end of our services.
